This is how Disney perceived what things might be like in the future back in 1958. I came across this on YouTube earlier and did make me chuckle. Bear in mind this was aimed at an idealistic society where everybody was ‘happy families’, hence Dad goes to the office and Mum and Son go shopping, Lol. Hello you hungry bunch, have you missed me much? I do hope so, lol. Hope everybody had a good break over the festive period, because I certainly did! it involved copius amounts of food, drink and sun. Sun? what sun you lot might ask. Well I was lucky enough to get away over the festive period to Lanzarote for 10 days, which was a nice litte break from the assignments set over the holidays. One of which was a product analysis on the Design and Manufacture of a Right Guard aerosol Can, which is more interesting than it actually sounds.
Anyway I didn’t really know what to write for this blog entry so I shall stop waffling on about my life and more about my passion…..yes you got it, Design! I have seen a few bits over Christmas which caught my imagination and one that I wish I had bought before I travelled. Its the WOWee one portable speaker, which is like no other portable speaker out there. Its a small oblong shaped box which turns the surface its on into a speaker and in turn amplifies the sound created. I dont really know the science behind it, but one thing I do know is that its bloody cool. Its not just the WOWee that produces such a product, theres another similar device called the TuneBug Vibe which works in the same way but with a more radical aesthetic. 
Think how easy one of these could fit in your hand luggage for your holidays. There has been plenty of times when I have been getting for a night out when on holiday (especially when I was in Ayia Napa) and wanted a few tunes to play out loud to get me in the mood for the night ahead. I reckon this would have been ideal. Anyway, let me know what you think by leaving a cheeky comment!
